Nancy Lyons shares why the diversity pledge exists and what we hope the outcome will be.
Hi! It’s Nancy. And I want to tell you a little bit about why we decided to do this Minnesota tech diversity pledge. It’s because there is a lot of talk about diversity, about who we want to be, but there’s not a lot of action around actually making it happen.
The tech community needs to grow. We need to get better at attracting the talent that will enrich our companies in ways we can’t even imagine. And so, now’s the time to put your money where your mouth is and join us in the Minnesota tech diversity pledge.
Do it. Sign the pledge and then tell us about the outreach you’re doing, tell us about the deliberate effort you’re making to invite people of color and LGBTQ people and women to the table. Tell us what you’re doing to increase your numbers, share your stories. We need that information so we all get better.
